Hello, I am Christie S. Shedd, Accountant and CEO of Tax Leaders, Inc. In 2004, I was working for an accounting firm in the Rutherford County area when I realized that there are more efficient ways to meet a client's needs. From that point, I birthed Tax Leaders, Inc.; an accounting and bookkeeping service company that would be based on each individual client's budget and their ability to pay for the professional and quality accounting services they deserve.
When investing the time, energy and money into opening your own business, there are three staples needed in order to be a successful business that will prosper. The first is a good Attorney, the second is an experienced and knowledgeable Accountant and the third is an excellent Advertising source. What I have found through my years of taking care of clients' accounting needs is that so many small businesses are putting too much money into the first two staples, leaving them without the ability to afford what actually is the lifeline of any business, especially a new one, advertising. For that reason, I developed a sliding scale system that allows me to charge the client based on the budget of the business, thus allowing clients to better afford to advertise their services. Then, to better serve my clients, I annually evaluate their business and meet with my clients. If the client's business has increased and become more profitable then my accounting fees will be increased by 10% for the year.
So far this has been very beneficial for my clients to receive the services that they require in order to remain on the right side of our favorite Uncle Sam.
